![]() ![]() So to hit the alien ship I assume I have to hit with the laser first, then fire a missile whilst the ship can't phase?Īlso, I assume that I need enough thruster fuel to line up my ship under the alien ship so the vertical laser shot hits it?įinally, I ran the mission without any reactors and the alien ship fired 3 times, and my ship was also hit by several asteroids, then my ship exploded. There was no way to work that out before I had a machine which fired missiles and lasers. I've found out from bitter experience that the laser shot doesn't work if the alien ship is already phased. The other way to have more thruster fuel (as in my current machine, without coordinated firing) seems to run into an impossible reactor-storage problem if I can't unload waste into the laser and try to coordinate the firing. ![]() If I could have waste molecules consumed by laser firings I could have more thruster fuel. I've thought of a machine idea which lets me control when the laser and missile fire, but doesn't have much h^2 for the thrusters and the first reactor has so much to do I'm not sure I can make it. First, is it possible to have more molecules in the firing area of the laser than just the gain molecule and still have the laser fire? I tried this in an earlier solution and couldn't get the laser to fire. I've not reached the point where I look at someone else's solution.
